Monday, we heard from guest speaker Maureen Klues, owner of Memoirs by Maureen, a unique storytelling business right here in our community.

She shared her journey from the business world to the nonprofit space and ultimately into building a business centered on telling the stories of others and preserving memories that matter.

Her path was not linear, and that was the point. Students got to see that careers evolve, opportunities shift, and sometimes the best ideas come from paying attention to what people truly value.

She also spoke on the importance of finding contentment through gratitude in a world and business culture that constantly pushes toward what is next. A reminder that success is not always about chasing more, but recognizing the value in what is already in front of you.

At its core, her work is about listening, capturing moments, and helping people hold on to what matters most. A reminder that business can be built around purpose just as much as profit.

As we continue building toward the Trade Show, it is another example of how unique ideas can become real opportunities when paired with intention and execution.
