A business with a mission: Cole Street Coffee House house doesn't just pour coffee, it pours back into the community.

Every month, a new beneficiary is chosen to receive the tips given at Cole Street. To date, this coffee house has generated more than $61,000 in tips for local groups and organizations!

The fulfillment of this mission wouldn't be possible without a well-run business to back it up. We recently had the opportunity to learn about what it takes to get a new coffee shop up and running... and it's not easy. Kea Runyan, Manager of Cole Street, talked about all the expenses, training, and ongoing maintenance involved with running a successful coffee shop. She stressed the importance of pouring into her staff and creating a team environment.

And then her staff brought out some samples! Many thanks to Kea and her team for the hospitality, the tastings, and the informative session.
