“Every artist was first an amateur.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
Today, Jackson CEO had the honor of hosting DeSande R. Artist, a retired John A. Logan College art instructor and gifted self-taught artist known for her stunning self-portraits.
DeSande brought in several of her phenomenal pieces—each one full of depth, emotion, and story—and inspired our students with both her talent and her journey. She didn’t just talk about art; she invited the class to experience it. Under her guidance, students created their own art pieces, stepping outside their comfort zones and discovering new layers of creativity.
We are grateful for her wisdom, her warmth, and the way she showed our young entrepreneurs that creativity fuels innovation.
Thank you, DeSande, for pouring into Jackson CEO today! 🎨
